Responsibilities of the post:
Assist delivery drivers in unloading the deliveries of goods into the warehouse using a Flexi truck where necessary
Keep the warehouse free from health and safety hazards by ensuring the area is and remains a safe working environment for staff and visitors'. Keeping aisles clear of rubbish and abandoned stock.
Palletising and moving stock when necessary, including restocking of pick locations from bulk storage
Recycling of all packaging material and scrapped equipment: breaking down cardboard boxes and using the cardboard bailer (training provided); stacking metal skips to ensure that maximum capacity is achieved providing maximum return.
Undertake site-specific training to use the flexi-truck and mechanical handling equipment including the WAVE truck to assist in the movement of stock around the warehouse
Assist the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager in regular cycle counting of stock to ensure that real time stock figures are as accurate as possible and to assist with accurate orderingGuidant Global is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
