Fleet Manager
Location: Bracknell or Thame
Contract: Temporary - Ongoing
Salary/Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fleet Manager to join our client on a temporary, ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, well maintained and available when required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operation and administration of the company fleet.
Oversee vehicle servicing, maintenance, repairs, inspections and MOTs.
Ensure all vehicles remain compliant with relevant legislation and company policies.
Monitor fleet performance, availability and operational costs.
Manage relationships with garages, suppliers, leasing companies and other external providers.
Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation.
Coordinate vehicle allocation, replacements and off-road vehicles.
Deal with vehicle breakdowns, accidents and other fleet-related issues.
Monitor driver compliance and ensure vehicles are being used appropriately.
Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs.
Provide regular updates and reports on fleet performance and issues.
About You
Previous Fleet Manager experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and compliance.
Excellent organisational and administration skills.
Confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of fleet-related issues.
Experience within construction, property services, facilities management or a similar operational environment would be advantageous
