Description:

Our client based in Runcorn is seeking a Service/Repair Technician for their Service Centre for 3-6 months to start ASAP.

A qualified electronics engineer is needed for a short term, 3 - 6 months contract. The technician will require some electronics qualifications but repair training will be provided in house.

Start date: as soon as possible

End date: 6 months from a start date

Travel: not required

Type of role: On-site

Salary payment: £28,240 a year (£14.48 / hour)

Job Purpose:

The workshop service engineer is responsible for the service and repair of medical devices returned to Solventum by customers.

Main responsibilities

Fault finding and diagnosis of system failures
Equipment update or modification in line with customer requirements
Accurate & thorough documentation of faults found and rectification steps taken.
Logging and reporting design issues
Escalate issues as needed to the service department team leader.
Work as a team to meet contractual support requirements.
Have good cross department communication and relationships.
Assist in the retention of support contracts by offering superior customer support experience.
Assist in the education of clients on Solventum products
Other duties as assigned. Benefits

Essential Qualifications - A qualification in electronics such as HND

Desirable Qualifications -

Recognised qualifications in electronics engineering such as:

· City & Guilds 224 electronics servicing

· ONC Electronic & Electrical engineering.

· HNC Electronic & Electrical engineering

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills· Previous experience of working in an electronics service environment

· Fault finding of electronic instruments to component level

· Ability to work on own initiative & as part of the team.

· Ability to understand customer issues & define resolution paths to these.

· Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication

· Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers

· Present a professional image to the customer

· Manage time and set priorities for tasks

· Understand the functionality of Solventum software applications, in context of client usage

· Practice effective self‐management

· Ability to assess priorities and work to strict deadlines

· Experience of working as part of a team

· Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good working relationships

· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation and with external contacts
