A local IT support and services provider, providing first class IT support, infrastructure and networking services and support to South Coast companies require a First Line IT Helpdesk support analyst to join their friendly and passionate IT helpdesk team as they are growing.
The office is based near Romsey in a rural location with free parking, good views and a place to go for a lunchtime walk. There is professional development with certifications, training and more technical career development.
The job is for a customer service desk technician to efficiently resolve support issues and oversee escalations with support from the IT Helpdesk Manager, ensuring minimal disruption to their clients and maintaining exceptional levels of customer service. Responsibilities include resolving incidents, assigning tickets for escalation, managing third-party supplier tickets, timely reporting of escalations to the Helpdesk Manager, assisting in achieving SLAs, providing internal technical support, translating technical knowledge for clients, understanding business impact, and aiding in version/change updates.
Your background will need some customer service experience, with proficiency in ticketing platforms with an awareness and interest in IT systems such as troubleshooting the Office 365 suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital, alongside confidence in phone interactions. Being adept in troubleshooting, customer service, with a proactive and helpful attitude. Collaboration in a small team requires friendliness, dependability, and calmness, while traits like active listening, diplomacy, and a commitment to learning are highly valued.
Office hours are 0830 to 1700 and there is no on-call or out of hours working.
