Description:
Firestoppers, London, Up to £200 per day
Our client is looking for a number of firestoppers to implement fire-stopping systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through openings and penetrations in fire-rated walls and floors.
The responsibilities of a firestoppers are:
* To install fire-stopping measures and ensure all installations meet the required fire resistance ratings and compliance standards.
* To conduct regular inspections of installed fire-stopping systems and perform maintenance and repairs on existing fire-stopping installations as necessary.
* To maintain accurate records of fire-stopping installations and prepare and submit reports on completed work to the Fire Protection Manager/Supervisor.
* Adhere to all relevant fire safety regulations and building codes and follow company safety policies and to participate in safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
The skills and qualifications required to be a firestopper:
* Previous experience in fire-stopping, construction or related field is essential.
* Certification in fire-stopping systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* CSCS blue or equivalent fire-stopping courses and certificates.
In return: 8 hours per day, ongoing work, flexible with travelling around London.
