Description:
We are looking for staff who may be interested in a new role which has become available at the Whittington NHS Trusts.
The roles available are Fire Watchers – this will be working for the Estates team at the Trust. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring fire safety protocols are adhered to and any fire hazards are identified and reported. Also to ensure there are no outbreaks of fire.
Shift patterns:
Shift patterns available are full time – 36 to 48 hours per week.
Shifts times are still being confirmed – but 12 hours shifts are available as this is a 24 hours service required 7 days each week.
Key duties:
Fire Safety checks
Fire Alarm checks and tests
Identifying fire hazards
Liaising with on site staff to ensure fire safety protocols are adhered to
Patrolling buildings to ensure no fires
Preparing end of shift reports for Line Manager and site lead
Band 3 rates apply:
Day rate: £13.61
Enhanced rates available for unsocial hours shifts (nights & weekends)
Key requirements:
Training will be provided
Applicants need to be dedicated, responsible & due diligent
Applicants will be required to have a working knowledge of Word and Excel to generate end of shift reports
Confidence to work with and liaise the onsite clinical teams to ensure safety and address issues identified
