Fusion People are currently looking for a reliable Fire Watcher to join a team on a construction project. This role is essential in maintaining site safety by monitoring hot works and ensuring fire prevention procedures are followed at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring hot works activities such as welding, grinding, cutting, and burning operations
- Conducting regular fire safety inspections of designated work areas
- Remaining vigilant for potential fire hazards and taking immediate action where necessary
- Ensuring fire extinguishers and safety equipment are accessible and serviceable
- Maintaining accurate records of fire watch activities and inspections
- Reporting hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices to site management
- Ensuring compliance with site health, safety, and fire regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience working on construction sites preferred
- Valid CSCS Card
- Fire Watcher certificate is essential
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout shifts
