Working across predominantly residential buildings, with some commercial properties, you'll be responsible for undertaking Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), reviewing fire safety compliance, and providing technical guidance to ensure statutory obligations are met. Using the True Compliance system, you'll manage your own programme of inspections, providing weekly updates and ensuring all planned assessments are completed within agreed timescales. The role offers flexibility, with approximately four days per week spent on site.

Review and validate existing FRAs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Identify fire safety risks, deficiencies, and required remedial actions.
Prioritise fire safety risks and support the development of mitigation plans.
Conduct fire safety inspections and audits across the portfolio.
Respond to fire safety queries raised by residents and stakeholders.
Provide technical fire safety advice to internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Monitor and verify the completion of fire safety remedial works.
Maintain accurate compliance records, reports, and documentation using True Compliance.
Support regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of fire safety management processes.
Requirements:

Demonstrable experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments within residential properties.
Recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification (Level 3, Level 4, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Understanding of the Fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety Act 2022.
Experience producing detailed FRA reports and prioritising recommendations.
Experience inspecting residential buildings, including higher-risk residential properties.
Strong report writing and communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical legislation and provide practical fire safety advice.
Knowledge of passive fire protection and compartmentation principles.
Experience working within social housing, local authority, housing association, or public sector environments would be advantageous.
Familiarity with compliance management systems and CAFM software.
