Fire Safety Advisor
London based
Contract: Fixed-term until June 2028
Salary: Up to £56,920 + benefits

We're supporting one of the Uks most well-known hospitality venues in order to appoint a Fire Safety Advisor to join their Health, Safety & Wellbeing function. Working closely with the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and the Fire Safety Manager, you'll help deliver the organisation's Safety Plans, strengthening a positive fire safety culture, and maintain an effective fire safety management system in a complex, high-risk and very high-profile operational environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Fire Safety Advisor:

Provide competent fire safety advice to support compliance with legal requirements and internal policies/standards.
Partner with Heads of Department and technical teams to identify, assess and manage fire risks, including coaching on risk controls and record-keeping.
Support development and review of fire safety standards, guidance and risk assessments, and help keep internal fire safety content up to date.
Track and support delivery of the programme of fire risk assessments, including action tracking and close-out.
Assist with compliance monitoring, inspections and incident investigations, plus reporting on fire safety performance and trends.
Attend relevant H&S / project planning meetings, preparing reports, presentations and recommendations as neededKey Requirements for the Fire Safety Advisor:

Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent).
Experience in fire safety management within a large, complex organisation (ideally arts/entertainment/hospitality venues).
Strong working knowledge of current fire safety legislation and standards, with the ability to apply these pragmatically.
Confident producing reports, plans, policies and procedures, and communicating technical issues clearly to varied audiences.
Understanding of the Building Safety Act requirements (especially as they apply to higher-risk/high-rise buildings).Join a forward-thinking organisation that values diversity and promotes sustainable practices.
