Fire Risk Assessor
Location: London - Various Patches
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £54,000
Reports to: Lead Fire Risk Assessor
About the Role
The role involves site inspections, identifying fire safety risks, recommending suitable controls and ensuring compliance with legislation, British Standards and organisational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Complete fire risk assessments and site inspections, including loft access where required.
Apply BS9792:2025 PAS 79-1 and relevant fire safety legislation and guidance.
Identify risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Produce accurate reports and maintain assessment records and databases.
Follow up actions and support risk-based programmes of work.
Work with internal, external and statutory stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 12 months' relevant experience and 20+ completed fire risk assessments.
Experience in residential housing and care/support schemes.
NEBOSH Fire Certificate/Diploma, Certified in Applied Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent.
Level 4 Fire Safety qualification and/or ASFP Level 3 Passive Fire Protection or equivalent.
Membership of BAFE, LPCB, IFE or an equivalent accreditation scheme.
Strong knowledge of fire and building safety within social housing and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Understanding of PEEPs and evacuation strategies
