Are you a passionate Fire Risk Assessor looking to work for a unique consultancy? Are you looking to work with professionals outside the Fire industry?
 
TSA Surveying are hiring an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join a dynamic, forward thinking Architectural firm based in the South West. Our client are historically work within the Architecture industry. However, after high demand from clients and regulatory compliance, they have developed a high performing fire inspection team consisting of FRAs, Fire Engineers and site inspectors, offering the full range of works to clients in the commercial, residential and healthcare industries. In this role, you will be working alongside some talented Fire Engineers, Architectural technicians and Building Surveyors, giving you a full understanding of the work.
 
Key responsibilities:

Carry out Façade and Internal Fire Safety investigations / Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) - and prepare written technical reports with photographs using agreed templates.
Site visits - both on existing buildings and new builds - and prepare written reports with photographs using agreed templates.
Inspect at key construction stages and record findings photographically using dedicated software. · Inspection of agreed construction details and record findings photographically using dedicated software.
Review drawings, specifications and other relevant technical information and comment on building regulations compliance.
Review products being used on site and comment on their suitability and whether they comply with the Building Regulations and fire safety guidance.
Visit site and attend site meetings and project team meetings as and when necessary.
Undertake training or further development as part of a program of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
To be aware of current technical developments, building legislation and implement as required.
Report regularly on progress and to communicate any potential technical or design problems to the project team and Associate, Associate Director, Director or Partner.
Duties of a similar nature to the above as determined by the Associate, Associate Director, Director or Partner.
Adhere to the Practice QA procedures. Co-ordinate with clients and stakeholders to collate technical information.
Attend team briefings.
