Description:

Fire Door Site Manager – Temp to Perm Location: Sheffield & Surrounding Areas (Mobile Role) Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Package

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Door Site Manager to join a well-established and growing fire protection contractor delivering works across Sheffield and the surrounding areas. The business has a strong pipeline of secured fire door projects across social housing and commercial environments, offering long-term stability and a clear route to a permanent position for the right candidate.

This role is available on a temp to perm basis with a quick start on offer — ideal for a Site Manager looking to get straight into a busy, varied and client-facing position.

The Role

As Fire Door Site Manager, you will take full ownership of fire door installation and remedial works across multiple sites throughout Sheffield. This is a fully off-the-tools, mobile role with a heavy emphasis on quality assurance, site management and client and resident liaison. You will supervise teams of 6–10 operatives and subcontractors, ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly and to programme across a variety of live and occupied environments.

If you thrive in a fast-paced role where no two days are the same and take pride in delivering quality, compliant fire door works to a high standard, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple fire door projects throughout Sheffield

* Supervise teams of 6–10 fire door installers and subcontractors across multiple concurrent sites

* Lead on quality assurance — carrying out regular inspections, audits and snagging of fire door installations to BM TRADA, FIRAS and IFC standards

* Review fire door reports, drawings and specifications to ensure correct installation methods are followed

* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, residents and stakeholders — maintaining strong relationships throughout the programme

* Carry out resident liaison across occupied social housing sites, handling queries and concerns professionally

* Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics across multiple locations

* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and ensure full health and safety compliance

* Manage programmes to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget

* Complete all site documentation including RAMS, progress reports and compliance records

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor within fire doors or passive fire protection

* Strong technical knowledge of fire door installation, remedials and compliance standards including BM TRADA, FIRAS and IFC

* Experience working within social housing or occupied properties

* Strong QA focus — candidates must be comfortable carrying out regular inspections, audits and quality checks as a core part of the role

* Confident client and resident-facing skills — this is a heavily people-facing position

* Ability to read and interpret drawings and fire door schedules

* SMSTS or SSSTS — required

* CSCS Card — required

* Full UK Driving Licence — required

* FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation — desirable

* Additional passive fire knowledge including fire stopping and compartmentation — desirable

What's On Offer

* £50,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience

* Company vehicle or allowance

* Temp to perm opportunity with a quick start available

* Long-term pipeline of secured fire door works across Sheffield

* Opportunity to progress into senior or contract management roles
