On behalf of our esteemed client, a leading construction company specializing in fire safety solutions, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Door Carpenter Team of 2 to join their dedicated team in Norwich. Our client is committed to providing top-tier fire door installations and maintenance, ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings through expert craftsmanship and adherence to fire safety regulations.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidates will have a strong background in carpentry, with specific expertise in fire door installation and fire stopping. A reliable van and a thorough understanding of fire safety regulations are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately install, maintain, and repair fire doors in accordance with industry standards and fire safety regulations.
* Perform fire stopping tasks to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through building compartments.
* Conduct site surveys to assess fire door and fire stopping requirements.
* Collaborate with site managers and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Document all work completed and provide regular updates to project managers.
* Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and relevant legislation.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a carpenter, with specific experience in fire door installation and fire stopping.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
* Must own a reliable van to transport tools and materials to various job sites.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
* Valid UK driving license.
* CSCS card (preferred but not mandatory).
