Description:
As a Fire Door Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in our projects, focusing on the installation and remedial works of fire doors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all fire doors are installed correctly and in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Installation of Fire Doors: Carry out the installation of fire doors according to project specifications and industry standards. This includes fitting door frames, hanging doors, and ensuring proper functionality.
2.
Remedial Works: Conduct remedial works on existing fire doors as required. This may involve repairing, replacing, or upgrading fire doors to ensure they meet safety standards.
3.
Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on all installed fire doors to ensure they meet the necessary safety requirements and standards.
4.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and fire safety standards throughout the installation process.
5.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including installation reports, inspection documents, and any relevant certifications.
Requirements:
1.
Experience: Proven experience as a Carpenter, with specific experience in fire door installation and remedial works.
2.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fire door regulations, including BS 8214 and BS 9999, as well as familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
3.
Skills: Excellent carpentry skills, including proficiency in measuring, cutting, and fitting doors. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools effectively.
4.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
5.
Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
6.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in carpentry or fire door installation are desirable.
