Southampton | £38,000 - £45,000 DOE

Service & Installation Role

I'm currently working with a well-established Fire & Security business that is looking to recruit an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across Southampton and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation in the industry, delivering high-quality fire and security solutions across a diverse range of commercial and residential environments. Offering a mix of service, maintenance and installation work, the role provides excellent variety and the chance to work with a broad range of systems and technologies.

The Role

As a Fire & Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out both installation and service work across fire alarm, CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring systems are installed, maintained and operating to the highest standards while providing a professional service to clients.

Responsibilities include:

Installation of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Access Control systems
Service, maintenance and fault finding across existing systems
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently
Completing all work in line with relevant industry standards and regulations
Producing accurate job reports and documentation
Delivering excellent customer service on site
Working independently and as part of the wider engineering team

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong background within the Fire & Security sector and be comfortable carrying out both installation and service work.

You will ideally have:

Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer
Good working knowledge of Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
The ability to manage your workload effectively and work autonomously when required
