Fire & Security Service Engineer

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
Type: Full-Time | Permanent

My client is a trusted name in fire and security solutions across South England. Known for their reliability, technical excellence, and customer-first approach, we provide maintenance and servicing for fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, automated gates, barriers, and more. Their long-standing relationships with commercial and residential clients are built on quality, care, and consistency.

My client are expanding their team and looking for a Fire & Security Service Engineer who’s passionate about safety, technology, and customer service. What You’ll Be Doing

* Servicing and maintaining fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and barriers

* Conducting routine inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards

* Diagnosing and repairing faults with efficiency and precision

* Providing technical support to clients and colleagues

* Maintaining accurate service records and documentation

* Delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships

* Staying up to date with the latest technologies and standards

* Participating in our emergency on-call rota

* Occasionally travelling to support clients nationwide

What they are Looking For

* Proven experience in fire and security systems

* Strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and barriers

* Electrical/electronic engineering qualifications

* FIA or BAFE certification (preferred)

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively

* Full UK driving licence

* Willingness to travel and work flexible hours

* Customer-focused mindset with a proactive attitude

Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential)

* Experience with GENT Fire systems

* Fault-finding skills for gates and barriers

* IPAF and ECS certifications

Security Clearance Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

* British Nationals or Dual Nationals (with UK residency rights obtained before 31 December 2020)

* Must have lived in the UK for at least 5 of the last 10 years to meet Security Check (SC) clearance requirements under BPSS, NSV, and BS7858 standards.
