Fire & Security Engineer – Cornwall (Local Mobile Role)

We're looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering team, supporting a long-term council contract across Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a stable, local role with no travel outside the county.
The Opportunity
As a mobile Fire & Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and fault-finding on a range of commercial sites throughout Cornwall. You'll become part of a large and supportive engineering division, helping to maintain approximately 400 sites across the region.

Monday to Friday, 40-hour working week

Supporting a portfolio of around 400 sites

Working alongside an established team of over 30 engineers
*
No overnight stays or travel outside Cornwall

Personal use of the company van included

Structured call-out rota (1 week in every 6)

£115 standby allowance

Minimum 4 hours' pay for any call-out attendance

What We're Looking For
To be considered, you'll need:

FIA qualifications (Levels 1, 2 & 3) – essential
*
Previous experience working on fire and security systems
*
Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and maintenance skills
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
