Fire & Security Engineer
Location: Essex
Salary: Up to £48,000 + Overtime
The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced Fire & Security Engineers to join an established and growing engineering business, covering projects and service works across Essex and the surrounding areas.
This is a permanent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in fire alarm and/or security systems, looking to join a professional team with a varied workload across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and other sectors.
The role will involve a mixture of installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and reactive works, depending on your experience.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems
Fault finding and diagnosis of system issues
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs
Working on a range of fire alarm, CCTV, access control and associated security systems
Completing service reports and relevant paperwork accurately
Liaising professionally with customers and site teams
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with relevant industry standards
Supporting installation and commissioning works where required
Working safely and professionally at customer sites About You
We are looking for engineers with previous experience within the Fire & Security industry.
You may be a Fire Alarm Engineer, Security Engineer or a multi-skilled Fire & Security Engineer.
Ideally, you will have experience with some of the following:
Fire alarm systems
CCTV
Access control
Door entry
Intruder alarm systems
Fault finding and diagnostics
Installation, servicing and maintenance Relevant industry qualifications and manufacturer experience would be advantageous, although candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.
A full UK driving licence is required.
