The Company
Our client is a well-established fire and security systems provider, known for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and fault-finding services across South Yorkshire and beyond. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to their team.
The Role
As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, fault finding, and installation of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems for a varied client base within a 50 mile radius of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a supportive, forward-thinking company that genuinely invests in its people.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing and maintaining conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently and to a high standard
Installing new fire alarm systems in line with British Standards (BS 5839)
Working independently and managing your own workload/diary
Liaising professionally with clients on site
Completing accurate paperwork/reports following each visit
Working safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations
What We're Looking For
Proven experience servicing, fault finding, and installing fire alarm systems
Strong knowledge of conventional and addressable systems
Relevant qualifications (e.g. FIA units, BAFE) desirable
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
Ability to work independently and manage own schedule
