Position : Fire Alarm Design Engineer

Location : Remote/Hybrid/Nottinghamshire
Salary : £40,000 - £70,000
Reports to : Design Manager
Due to significant growth and success our client is looking to recruit a newly created role for a Fire Alarm Design Engineer. The ideal candidate might be local to their offices in Nottinghamshire, but the client is open to applications from candidates further afield who are more accustomed to working hybrid or even remotely.
Main duties:
Attending site and customer meetings to discuss fire alarm compliance and system offerings.
Assisting with design compliance including back-office support and site surveys/visits.
Advising on non-compliance matters and issuing of Technical Bulletins.
Assisting with Third Party inspection audits and documentation.
Providing technical support for internal staff and external customers.
Carry out site surveys and produce proposals for the customer.
Providing a Premium Service at all times to Customers (both internal & external)About you:
This role would ideally suit an experienced fire alarm engineer looking to progress their career within this specialist subject OR someone already in a like for like role.
A good working knowledge of all the relevant British Standards is required along with knowledge of the relevant Regulations and Legislation.
The client is a Gent Elite System Integrator so ideally the applicant will have a good knowledge of the product with ideally experience with other market leading fire alarm manufacturers.
5- 10 years' experience at engineer level with some degree of customer interaction.
