What you’ll be doing
Join us on this mission as a Finishing Operative at our Denham site. We have an impressive finishing plant at our Denham site and this role will be focused with Paint Prepping and Spraying tasks. You’ll have the opportunity to be fully involved with the painting strategy, the team is proud of quality levels involved with their finishing processes which contribute to the success of ejector seats produced onsite, to ultimately save lives.
Aspects of the role include to:
* Accurately interpret engineering drawings, instructions and build plans so that part numbers, process specifications and finishes are accurately identified and applied.
* Assist with continuous improvement aspects relating to painting and surface finishing processes.
* Work with various finishing paints and primer.
* Deliver finishing processes with operating procedures and process specifications, ensuring that high quality standards are achieved.
* Follow relevant health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, COSHH assessments and material safety data sheets.
* Complete tasks to required work schedules, working with efficiency.
* Ensure that components and tools are appropriately handled.
* Input with reviewing the effectiveness of equipment and tools.
Characteristics & Skills
* Solid experience with paint spraying and surface preparation processes.
* Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Full understanding of health and safety and COSHH regulations relating to hazardous substances.
* Experience of working in manufacturing organisations.
