Financial Reporting Manager

I’m currently working with a well-established retail business based in Leeds that is looking to appoint a Financial Reporting Manager to join its growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic business in a highly visible role within group finance.

The position would be particularly well suited to a first-time mover from practice looking to make the transition into industry, offering strong exposure across financial reporting, controls, and stakeholder management within a supportive and commercially focused environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the preparation of accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reporting
Supporting the production of statutory accounts and year-end processes
Managing the consolidation of group accounts across multiple entities
Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with reporting standards
Partnering with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Driving process improvements and efficiencies across finance operations
Managing and developing members of the finance team

The client is looking for:

ACA / ACCA qualified
A strong technical accounting background, ideally trained within practice
Previous experience within audit, financial reporting, or group reporting
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience within retail or multi-site environments would be advantageous but not essential
