Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Financial Modeller to join our residential construction company. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance within our construction projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or CFA designation preferred.

Proven experience (5 years) in financial modelling, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling software

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial analysis.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling: Develop comprehensive financial models to analyse residential construction projects, including revenue projections, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.

Risk Assessment: Assess financial risks and opportunities associated with residential construction projects, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual performance against projections and identifying variances.

Scenario Analysis: Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of different variables and assumptions on project outcomes, enabling informed decision-making.

Financial Reporting: Prepare clear and concise financial reports and presentations for senior management, stakeholders, and investors, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.

Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting residential construction projects, providing insights to support strategic planning.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, operations, and procurement, to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment of financial models with business objectives.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial modelling processes, tools, and methodologies, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial analysis.
