Role: Financial Controller
Location: Newport, Wales
Salary: Up to £50,000
I have partnered with an organisation in Newport, Wales who are looking to add a Financial Controller to their team on a full time, permanent basis.
They have numerous sites across the UK, but you would be based at their main site in Newport. They have an existing accountancy and finance team.
They’re looking for someone that can take control of their finance function, including the line management of team members.
You will have in-depth knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, VAT and the HMRC and an overall knowledge of financial functions and principles.
Role Responsibilities:
* Working close with the Managing Director, taking ownership of the accountancy function.
* Produce management accounts and reports for various sites in the UK
* Prepare company budgets, forecasting and cashflow
* Handling of the company payroll and pension
* Oversee and review of the company purchase and sales ledger
* Complete HMRC returns, including VAT
* Line management of other members in the finance team
Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant with professional experience in commercial setting
* Able to communicate well with numerous stakeholders, including seniors and others based at different sites in the UK
* Experience with management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow
* In-depth knowledge of the HMRC, UK Tax Laws, and VAT
* Experience of Quickbooks is desirable but not essential
Other Information:
* Starting salary up to £50,000
* Office based in Newport, only candidates within commutable distance can be considered
* This is a fully onsite position. Working hours: 9-5:30PM
