Description:
Our gaming sector client have been enjoying consistent growth over the past years and are now at a stage where they are beginning to insource a range of services to support them further. Currently they are seeking an experienced Financial Controller.
As Financial Controller you will be responsible for:
* Monthly reporting to directors
* Month end and year end process (financial statements, reconciliations)
* Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
* Oversee the posting of and monthly reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable
* Verify commissions payable to service providers
* Manage client accounts payables and receivables
* Tax reporting
* Using financial modelling to simulate potential scenarios
* Performing financial analysis on the company to predict financial health
* Monitoring spending and creating budgets
* Preparing company reports for investors
* Finding ways to reduce costs and increase profits
* Collaborating with management to create funding strategies
* Overseeing the company's payroll and bookkeeping system
The ideal candidate for the role of Financial Controller will have:
* Experience supervising, mentoring and coaching junior team-members
* Experience with tax compliance and substance requirements
* Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Masters degree preferred
* Be a qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA)
* Casino and/or Sportsbook operator experience helpful
* Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and IFRS
* Experience in managing year-end audit processes
* Familiarity with financial accounting statements
* Fluency in English - both written and spoken
