The Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Undertake and manage the Management Accounts, Accruals / Prepayments and Budgeting and Forecasting
Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Providing regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Developing and managing the annual budget process.
Producing financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Establishing and maintaining robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards (e.g., UK GAAP or IFRS).
Coordinating and managing internal and external audits.
Monitoring cash flow to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
Managing working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory. The Successful Financial Controller will have the following:

Open to a salary up to £60,000
Fully qualified in either ACA / ACCA or CIMA
Experience within the retail industry is highly advantageous
Happy to produce Management Accounts
Proven experience managing a finance team and leading success
Ability to nurture success within team
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
