Financial Controller
One of the leading digital and gaming company based in London is experiencing a period of growth and are seeking to recruit new staff.
The company are looking to hire an experienced Finance Manager who is
looking to take a step up to Financial Controller, that has an existing experience in
multi-site retail/entertainment business.
The role will support the Finance Director.
This role is an hybrid role based in London, with candidates expected to work in the office Mondays-Wednesdays and the option to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.
As the Financial controller, you will lead a team of accountants to drive the finance department in support of the business.
Key Role Responsibilities:
● Develop and maintain robust controls and procedures tailored to the
unique needs of the business.
● Develop and maintain new processes around cash in transit control.and drive the preparation and presentation of accurate and insightful
financial reports to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision making
and driving business success.
● Working on various stakeholder reporting in US and UK, lender covenant
reporting.
● Re-design of new reporting for various stakeholders
● Cash Flow AI automation project implementation.
● Manage annual audit processes.
● Assisting in Tax compliance filings
● Establish new initiatives to modernise the finance and accounting
function. AP automation, PO automation implementation.
● Responsible for the monthly, quarterly balance sheet reconciliation with
detailed breakdown explanations.
● Set up stock and inventory monitoring system and regular management
and monitoring.
● Collaborate in departmental budget process and variance analysis.
● Assisting in partner reporting and managing relationships with external
partners.
● Responsible to ensure all finance & accounting SOP are set up and
followed up in monthly and annual process.
● Set up Payroll control process for the externally run function.
● Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulation.
● Provide technical accounting guidance and research for the relevant
accounting treatment.
● Set up lease accounting for the new property portfolio in UK and US
under UK GAAP and maintain and monitor current portfolio.
● Setting up more robust and automated FAR reporting system
● Month end reporting
● Overseeing statutory accounts and annual audit in line with internal
timetables.
● Preparation of relevant reporting for different tax filings across US and
UK.
● Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining monthly accuracy.
● Optimisation : work closely with Finance Director on change initiatives
and ad hoc tasks, including driving continued automation, optimisation,
and simplification of finance processes.
Key Requirements
● ACCA/CIMA Qualified min 3+ years PQE
● Advanced Excel skills
● Xero knowledge preferred.
● Strong finance and accounting knowledge, especially around lease
accounting and property portfolio under UK GAAP, FRS 102
● Accounting Consolidation knowledge
● Strong analytical skills
