Debbie Burbage Recruitment is collaborating exclusively with a Kettering-based organisation that is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. In this role, you will be a part of the Senior Management Team (SMT), contributing to business growth by providing detailed analysis and supporting the implementation of a new ERP system. This hands-on position involves managing daily accounting activities, stock management, and building relationships with internal teams and external investors.
Reporting to the Managing Director, duties will include:
* Manage and mentor a team with two direct reports.
* Preparation of comprehensive management accounts and presentation to the SMT.
* Balance sheet reconciliations and relevant month end journals.
* Stock and product line analysis.
* Multicurrency transactions.
* Manage budgets, provide accurate forecasting, and manage cashflow forecasting.
* Preparation of VAT returns and payments to HMRC.
* Lead and support the implementation of new ERP system.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and investors.
The ideal candidate will possess a consistent work history and previous experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager, with experience in stock management and system implementation. We are looking for someone with a dynamic and proactive approach who is actively involved in broader business activities. The candidate should be an effective mentor and communicator, capable of liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills are necessary for conducting in-depth data analysis.

Renumeration:
Salary £55,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday (hybrid working considered)
