Financial Controller

Salary Up to £40k

Based in Rotherham

We are working with a long-standing client to support them on their search for a Financial Controller. They are a fun, social and friendly team, with a work hard play hard mentality.

An ideal candidate would be someone with personality, can easily integrate themselves into a close team, can have a laugh but also has a strong work ethic, is on the ball and has a keen eye for detail in this fast-paced industry.

A background in manufacturing or construction would be desirable but not essential! However, you MUST be versed in Sage 50 to hit the ground running.

The day to day -

* Reporting to both Managing Director and Finance Director with cashflow movement, forecasts and monthly/quarterly P&Ls.

* Weekly timesheets analysis and monthly payroll completion.

* Quarterly VAT Returns, familiarising Standard Rate VAT and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT

* Monthly work in progress and accruals

* Weekly Sales invoicing and credit control.

* Monthly bank reconciliation inputting purchases into Sage and making payments.

* Petty cash payments and analysis along with credit card analysis and credit card payments.

* Enrolling new staff and inducting them with contracts

* Holiday monitoring and sickness management

* Supporting the administration team and managing staff workload

You –

* Good communication skills both written and verbal.

* Use of MS packages

* Sage 50 experience is essential

* Driven and self-motivated

* Willingness to work extra hours in peak times of the year

Working hours are flexible based on a 40 hour week - Hours are flex 7.30-3.30/8.30-4.30
