Description:
I am delighted to be working exclusively with a renowned global business based in Teesside who are looking to expand their UK based team. My client is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join team, this role is a permanent position reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for the groups monthly and quarterly reporting. The successful applicant will deal with statutory reporting and will responsible for liaising with the auditors.
Main duties:
* Delivery of the monthly/quarterly/annual close processes
* Analysing transactions and preparing journals including fixed assets
* Complying with internal controls
* Preparation of statutory accounts for multiple legal entities
* Being the main point of contact both internally and externally in terms of audit
* Provide timely and accurate analysis to ensure the completion of corporate tax submissions
* Review and submit of VAT returns
* Reviewing calculations prepared by the finance team
Ideal candidate:
* Fully qualified or part qualified with substantial experience within statutory reporting
* Have a firm grasp of financial controls
* Knowledge of HMRC and Companies House reporting requirements
* Excellent IT skills including Excel reporting and presentation tools
* ERP system experience
This is a standalone role which will work closely with the Financial Controller who offers outstanding company knowledge and support.
