Financial Accountant [Contract]

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our Aerospace Manufacturing client in Farnborough for a Financial Accountant. The manager is ideally looking for someone who has previous experience in an audit environment before moving into Financial roles.

We're looking for a Qualified (potentially part qual) Accountant with proven experience in month-end processes and financial reporting with a background in audit.

You must have experience preparing Trial Balance to stats reconciliations and be technically proficient.

This is a contract role for 6 months working inside IR35 in Farnborough on a hybrid basis.

Overview and Purpose

Ensure that monthly accounts and required data are delivered accurately and on time.
Assist in the external audit process to achieve a positive result.
Assist in supporting processes in key areas for automation.With a relatively new system (MS Dynamics 365 F&O) you will be instrumental in supporting the Finance Team with building the financial operation ensuring is fit for purpose and user friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

Month End Process

Prepare and process all general ledger journals and activities including Payroll, accruals and prepayments.
Complete trans
Complete transactional postings ensuring accuracy to the correct areas.
Analyse Balance sheet and Profit and loss
Prepare clear and audit proof balance sheet reconciliations.Process Improvement

Provide support to enhance financial processes, to include purchase to pay, financial reporting, inventory and fixed assets.
Provide support to configure Microsoft D365 in order to automate processes and improve key controls.Financial Reporting:

Producing financial reports using Microsoft D365.Financial Controls Implementation:

Identify and support on the implementation of robust financial controls.General Accounts Duties:

Advise on posting adjustments in the finance system.
Support in other areas of the accounts and Financial areas if requiredAudit Preparation:

Prepare all required date for audit purposes.

Qualifications/experience/Attributes

Qualified accountant with previous post qualified experience in different sized organisations, from large best-practice, to small start-up environments.
Proven experience in month-end processes and financial reporting.
A background in audit or an audit mindset is preferred.
Must have experience preparing Trial Balance to stats reconciliations and be technically proficient.
Experience in working in a fast-changing environment.
High attention to detail and ability to question and analyse financial data.
Ability to work flexibly and handle multiple tasks.
