Financial Accountant / Property Finance Manager
Location: Slough, Berkshire Rate: £409.09 per day Umbrella Contract: Temporary / Contract
We are recruiting for an experienced Financial Accountant / Property Finance Manager to provide strategic financial management and business partnering support within a local authority Property Services function.
This is a key role supporting the effective management of revenue and capital budgets, financial forecasting, property investment and savings programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation and monitoring of property revenue and capital budgets.
* Review and challenge expenditure, identifying overspends, financial pressures and savings opportunities.
* Develop accurate monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
* Support Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) planning, including property disposals and changes in income.
* Analyse property expenditure, income, capital projects and savings programmes.
* Provide financial advice and challenge to budget holders and senior stakeholders.
* Produce accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and elected members.
* Act as the key finance business partner for Property Services.
* Ensure compliance with local government financial regulations, accounting standards and Council policies.
* Support effective financial management and value for money across the property estate.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* A recognised professional accountancy qualification such as CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, CCAB or equivalent.
* Significant experience in financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
* Experience within local government, public sector finance or property finance.
* Strong financial analysis and business partnering skills.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling experience.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience challenging expenditure and delivering savings or efficiency programmes.
£409.09 per day Umbrella | Slough, Berkshire
