Financial Accountant, Maidenhead, Berkshire (Hybrid working- 1-3 days in the office)
Circa £65,000 - £70,000 + Bonus 10% + Healthcare + Pension
The Financial Accountant role will support the Central Finance function in the day-to-day operations of the business. The Financial Accountant will report into the Financial Controller and be part of a high performing Finance team. They will ensure accounting standards are adhered to and provide guidance to others. This role has significant external submission deadlines which will need to be met. This is a great opportunity to have a role that is very varied in its nature.
Key
* Manage the whole treasury process
* Oversee and provide guidance to Accounts Payable
* Liaise with other sites in terms of invoicing, payments, receipts and balance agreements
* Accounting procedures for Stock and WIP
* Lead on balance sheet account reconciliations
* Internal controls
* Company VAT preparation and submissions
* Company P11d Returns
* IFRS 16 - Lease Treatments
* Manage of Capital Expenditure annually - Approvals, capitalisation, depreciation and verifications
* Support Financial Controller by taking full ownership of Transactional Finance
* Ensure compliance by making sure Company policies are adhered to; that there is a robust controls environment in place and that approval processes and delegated authorities are adhered to. Ensure audit issues are resolved in a timely manner
* Evaluate business processes, recommend and implement improvements
* Proactively challenge the assumptions inherent in financial data presented in order to make an appropriate judgement as to its validity and value
* Fully support month end close process
The successful candidate will ideally be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and technically competent with impact awareness of specialist areas including foreign exchange management, controls and governance, audit, ethics and risk management.
The client enjoys a brilliant working environment and offers a flexible working approach, hybrid working is circa 1-3 days in the office.
