Finance Supervisor

Description:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, our client, a leading global group of companies is looking to recruit a Finance Supervisor to join their team in Teesside. Primarily this role will be responsible for the smooth running of a busy accounts function. The successful applicant will lead a highly experienced team and will be involved with process improvements and day to day management of all areas of transactional finance including purchase and sales ledger for the group.

Ideally you will have worked in a fast paced environment managing a team.This role will involve the management of two direct reports and will be hands on utilising their skills in order to deliver successful and timely results.

Key duties:

* Gathering of relevant financial data and distributing to the correct operational member

* Tight review of the sales and purchase ledger

* Support and process improvement implementation across transactional finance

* Maintaining ledger balances

* Understanding the company chart of accounts, cost centres and authority matrix

* Responsible for all aspects of banking across the group

* Ownership of groups cashflow forecasting requirements

* Understanding payroll processing and annual declarations and deputise as needed

* Reconciliations of key balancesheet accounts

* Qualified by experience

* Able to hit the ground running managing a small experienced team

* Knowledge of payroll processes

* Excellent excel skills

* Great communication and excellent leadership skills

* Ability to implement process improvements

* Previous experience working alongside a shared service centre
