Finance Officer required for our public sector client to work on a Hybrid basis

Job Title Finance Officer

Pay Rate PAYE £12.76

Hours 37 Hours a week (Mon-Fri) Hybrid 1-2 days in the office

Duration 6 Month Contract (possible extension)

Purpose of the Role:
To provide guidance and information to clients/their representative on direct payments and support them comply with of the requirements of their direct payment. To provide systems support relating to activities carried out by the department in accordance with client policies, processes and procedures and legislative requirements. Complete audit reviews for direct payment accounts.

High Level of Accuracy
Working knowledge of Excel
Reconciliation of accounts

Key tasks:

To ensure effective service delivery, focussed on meeting the requirements of the functions of ASC Financial Services.
Ensure that work is allocated across the team in a timely manner. Ensure data recorded is accurately input into computerised departmental systems, databases and process, retrieve, analyse and cleanse data as necessary.
Provide support with more complex cases in addition to managing your own workload.
Develop good working relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders and providers. Promoting a good working approach to the resolution of queries or disputes or payment queries and to collaborate with providers through finding better ways of working.
Ensure that the team's performance complies with targets, best practice and quality standards and use effective quality assurance measures for the purposes of regular monitoring.
Ensure accurate and timely advice, guidance and support is provided to clients and colleagues when required.
Assist in the review and development of services, systems and processes, suggesting improvements to ensure achievement of best value and practice.
Contribute to the Department's business/service planning process and achievement of targets for the team.
Liaise with operational and departmental staff, clients and other agencies as appropriate, sharing information as directed and ensuing client procedures are properly followed.
Provide training, support and induction to team members.
To process work received by the department ensuring completeness of information, in accordance with legislation and client policy.Ensure the confidentiality of information held electronically or on paper is in accordance with departmental policy, the requirements for the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 and Caldicott principles and other relevant legislation
