Finance Officer-Business Partnering

£32 per hour
Full Time Contract ( 8 months long)
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Finance Officer in Somerset. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.
The job:
Producing and analysing outturn forecasts, based on expenditure to date and planned future spending, identifying potential problem areas; carrying out suitable financial analyses
Providing the service with monthly financial reports on the financial position, to be included in monthly and quarterly budget reports
Maintaining accurate accounting records for clients, by checking on the reasonableness of transaction coding in the accounts (SAP), amending as necessary
Analysing current year's expenditure to date, using SAP, to carry out a reasonableness check on outturn forecasts
Close both revenue and capital accounts at year-end.The candidate:
Experience in a similar role within the public sector is essential
Experience using SAP is essential
AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable
In-depth knowledge of financial management including tools and techniques.
