Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our client's team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the review and enhancement of their services, systems, and processes, ensuring optimal value for stakeholders and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the review and development of service effectiveness, systems, processes, and records, suggesting improvements for best value
Serve as the primary customer contact for designated service areas, establishing and nurturing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Assist in researching, analysing, and reporting financial and management information
Prepare annual revenue and capital estimates in consultation with departmental budget managers, ensuring compliance with corporate procedures and financial regulations
Support and advise budget managers in managing, monitoring, and reporting financial performance, providing forecasts as needed
Perform regular financial reconciliations and rectify any errors
Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts in accordance with professional standards and statutory requirements
Aid in identifying financial risks and pressures, contributing to the development of the Medium Term Financial Plan
Assist in producing business cases, evaluating and highlighting financial implications
Complete financial returns and processes, including grant claims and VAT self-certificationQualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting
Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and procedures
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesThis role is on a temporary basis, remote working.
