Internal Finance Manager (Accountancy Practice)

The Client:

Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, specialising in audit, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and other financial services.

The Role:

As a Finance Manager, you will oversee and manage all financial activities within the business.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, reconciliations, and journals.
Report monthly on various financial and staff performance indicators.
Manage monthly payroll processing and oversee the company pension scheme.
Handle quarterly VAT returns and update Life Assurance and Sick Pay policies.
Assist in the production of annual accounts and budgeting.
Monitor cash flow and process weekly payment runs.
Oversee additional client services, such as tax fee protection and accounting software.
Review and implement changes to financial processes.
Maintain Xero certification and stay updated with product changes.
Support the Finance Assistant during peak times and cover their tasks during absences.
Collaborate with all departments to enhance working practices, processes, and record-keeping.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a similar role.
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and meticulous attention to detail.
Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Working knowledge of Xero; IRIS experience would be beneficial.
