A respected and well-established not-for-profit organisation in Burnley is seeking a Finance Manager to join its friendly finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or a newly qualified finance professional looking for a varied accounting role within a purpose-driven organisation that genuinely makes a difference within the local community. Offering a 35-hour working week and excellent work-life balance.

Your new role

Working closely with the senior finance team, you'll play a key role in supporting month-end processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting the day-to-day management of the finance function

Completing balance sheet reconciliations
Posting and reconciling accruals, prepayments, accrued income and deferred income
Performing intercompany reconciliations and processing internal recharges
Managing the purchase ledger function and supplier payment runs
Extracting, reconciling and posting transactions from online platforms including PayPal and Stripe
Month-end close activities and financial reporting requirements
Analysing financial data using ExcelWhat you'll need to succeed

Part-qualified or newly qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA
Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Finance Manager or similar role
Strong reconciliation and month-end experience
Good Excel skills
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Not-for-profit sector experience would be advantageous but is not essentialWhat you'll get in return
