Finance Manager - 3 month FTC

Vantage Consulting are an award-winning, multi-brand specialist recruiter, currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our growing team on a 3-month fixed term maternity cover contract.

The Finance Manager role takes responsibility for managing the finance team and finance operations, ensuring KPI's are achieved, and the financial health of the company is maintained. Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to the senior management while recommending further courses of action to aid them in making strategic financial decisions. The Finance Manager will also oversee the contractor care operations, ensuring an exceptional experience is achieved for all onboarded Vantage Contractors, and payments and compliance is adhered to.

Experience

AAT qualification (or equivalent) required
CIMA/ACCA (or equivivalent) desirable
Proven line management experience

As a growing company we need someone willing to be hands on, with thorough and methodical attention to detail.

As the successful Finance Manager, you should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Strong management accounting and analysis skills
Comfortable business partnering with non-finance operational staff
Good understanding of finance regulations and legislation
Good working knowledge of IT, including excellent working knowledge of Excel to advanced level
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to confidently challenge as appropriate
Punctual
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Role and responsibilities

Complete all weekly and monthly reporting (including delivery of monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and trading forecast in line with Company reporting timetable)
Complete monthly flash and Management accounts in line with reporting timetable (providing commentary where needed or identified)
Managing all required reconciliations
Oversee the financial ledgers
Managing payroll activities for both Vantage employees and contractors, including calculating commission payments for sales staff
Oversee creditor payment run
Oversee international sales
Deputise as the principal point of contact for Vantage for all banking relationships
Preparation and submission of statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, all other HMRC requirements)
Liaising with the Finance Director at year end completion
Preparation of statutory accounts in liaison with external accountants and/or auditors
Preparation of estimated corporation tax liabilities in liaison with the external advisors
Risk management
Managing financial audit processes
Providing business insight to the Leadership Team and have an active involvement in the monthly finance meeting
Establish and maintain financial and contractor compliance policies and procedures for the company.
Oversee all VAT/PAYE and Corporation Tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance
Act as escalation point for all payroll and commission issues and disputes
Line management of the Finance Team
Promote the Vantage Values and display positive role modelling for team.
