Description:

Beyond Talent Solutions are delighted to be supporting an established, values-led not for profit organisation in the appointment of a Part Time Finance Manager to join their fantastic team. This is a genuinely interesting role in a purpose-driven environment, with a mix of commercial activity and grant-funded income. The organisation is going through a period of growth and development, with strong external stakeholder engagement and increasing focus on robust financial reporting and planning. You’ll be working closely with senior leadership, taking ownership of the finance function, and helping shape financial processes moving forward.

The Role

You’ll lead the day-to-day finance function, overseeing one team member and external providers (payroll, HR, etc.).

This is a hands-on role but with a strong strategic element - ideal for someone who can balance doing the detail with stepping back to support wider organisational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Full responsibility for financial management, reporting, and control

Production of:

Monthly management accounts

Budgets and reforecasts

Rolling cashflow forecasts

Preparing financial reports for senior leadership, trustees, and external stakeholders

Supporting annual reporting requirements (including charity/statutory submissions)

Ownership of tax-related matters (e.g. VAT, Gift Aid where applicable)

Monitoring restricted vs unrestricted funding and balance sheet integrity

Supporting funding applications with financial modelling and reporting

Managing relationships with external providers (payroll, HR, accountants)

Business partnering with internal teams to support performance, pricing, and cost management

Developing and improving financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks

Supporting longer-term business planning and sustainability

Governance and reporting to Board and various stakeholders with commentary and insight to support decision making

About You

Qualified accountant or strong QBE background

Experience operating in a standalone or small-team finance function

Confident producing and presenting management information to non-finance stakeholders

Strong stakeholder management - able to build trust quickly

Comfortable working in a mixed income model (commercial + grant funding ideal, not essential)

Hands-on, adaptable, and happy working in a collaborative environment

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business planning

Able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery

Nice to have (but not essential):

Experience within not-for-profit or charity sector

Exposure to funding bodies or grant reporting

Why This Role?

Genuinely different environment vs corporate finance roles

High visibility role working closely with leadership

Opportunity to shape processes and influence decision-making

Flexible working pattern (part-time, some hybrid option)

Strong values-led organisation with a clear direction
