Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a specialist consultancy business operating within a highly technical and international sector.
This is a standalone finance role offering full ownership of the finance function and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight, commercial support and strategic input to help drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day finance operations including purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations and invoicing
Oversee credit control, payroll and tax compliance
Produce weekly cash flow and performance reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts and variance analysis
Maintain full balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
Manage deferred income, accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accounting
Prepare quarterly VAT returns
Support budgeting, financial modelling and project profitability analysis
Develop and improve financial controls, systems and processes
Provide commercial insight to support strategic decision-makingAbout You:
Proven experience in management accounting and financial control
Strong bookkeeping and month-end accounting knowledge
Advanced Excel skills including reporting and financial modelling
Experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software
Confident managing cash flow and working autonomously
Highly organised, accurate and detail-oriented
Proactive approach with strong communication skills
Experience within a consultancy, professional services or project-based environment would be advantageous
Exposure to Fathom reporting software is desirableWhat’s on Offer?
