Description:
One of the highest-performing schools in the country, with two sites situated in beautiful rural settings, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team. The Finance Manager will support the CFO, Headteacher and Budget Holders in all aspects of financial processes and reporting
This varied role involves:
* Ensuring the Trust meets its obligations for producing accurate monthly management accounts
* Ensuring timely and accurate year-end accounts are prepared by the auditors and ensuring a smooth and clean audit process.
* Ensure stringent financial compliance is maintained in line with the Academy Trust Handbook.
* To implement, monitor and adapt internal controls to reduce the risk of fraud or non-compliance
* To ensure accurate payment and management of staff salaries, including submission of statutory returns as required
* Contract management to ensure the Trust achieves value for money when purchasing goods and services.
* Working with the CFO and Headteacher to identify opportunities for generating additional income and submitting funding bids.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound knowledge of financial procedures within education. Knowledge of PS Financials and ParentPay is desirable. You will have expertise in the preparation of annual budgets, monthly management accounts and payroll processes. A natural team leader, you will have a positive and flexible approach while managing a diverse and demanding workload. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to form positive relationships quickly.
The role will require travel between both campuses in Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. This is a permanent full-time position.
