We are currently seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Finance Manager to join our clients finance team based in Sunderland.

The Finance Manager will play a key role in the business. Working closely with the Department Head you will line managing a team of 5 direct reports.

Key responsibilities of a Finance Manager will include:

Produce timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly site reports and P&L.
Produce forecasts and report of the site's financial performance, including relevant KPIS.
Understand gross margins within the costings, along with product costings used by the Sales team.
Identifying where WTM variances may arise and drive improvement in weekly reporting - driving cost culture on site.
Management and leadership of the finance team (currently 5 direct reports)
Creation and monitoring of operational KPIs.
Proactively drive continuous improvement by supporting the Head of Department in identifying and driving positive change.
Provide financial input to the preparation, challenge, justification and appraisal of capital projects.
Preparation of regular and ad-hoc analysis, reporting and presentations for the FD, group and external stakeholders.
Closely monitor the site cashflow, including challenging payment terms, and helping maintain low debtors days within the working capital cycle.
Ensure correct accounting records are kept and accurate, oversee Balance Sheet Recs at period close presenting to Financial Controller with relevant supporting documentation in collaboration with Financial Accountant.

What is required to be a successful Finance Manager:

Previous experience in a senior finance role in a manufacturing setting.
Organised and detail orientated Working knowledge of Financial / Operational processes.
Advanced Microsoft office skills.
Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW) or Part Qualified with demonstratable experience.
