The Story
Axon Moore are currently partnered with an exciting and high growth Technology business in sourcing a high calibre Finance Director, based in Manchester. Our client are overseeing a transformation project which will lead to significant development across the finance function of which you be leading. Given the trajectory of our client there is a likelihood you will be involved in a running the process for gaining external investment across the next 12-18 months.
The Role
- As number 1 in finance you will be working closely with the CEO to deliver strategic initiatives including potential M&A opportunities
- Leading and developing a team of 8 full and part qualified accountants
- Utilising data effectively to deliver quality MI to drive commercial decision making
- Developing the monthly board pack including commentary and delivering to the rest of the board
- Ensuring a continually fit for purpose and compliant finance function during a period of growth and change
- Business partnering with non-finance to drive efficiencies across the business including pricing, product and marketing
- Providing financial models, 5 year plan, forecasts and budgets
- Managing the year end processes including leading the external audit
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
The Individual
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience managing and developing a team
- Exposure to a smaller, highly agile business
- Experience of supporting a PE or VC event is highly desirable but not essential
- Hands-on, comfortable performing a variety of tasks yet able to operate strategically
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience in the technology sector is highly desirable
