We are delighted to be partnering with a pioneering Diamond Tool manufacturing specialist, renowned for providing engineered solutions to international brands in the automotive and aerospace sectors. Our client is a family-owned business that operates from a purpose-built facility in Coventry and has additional operations in the US. With recent acquisitions and a robust growth strategy, they are positioned for significant expansion and are seeking a Finance Director to join their Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Role Outline: Our client is looking for a strategic and hands-on Finance Director who will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be both strategic and operational, with the ability to take a holistic business approach while maintaining a strong grip on the finance function. This role is ideal for a committed team player who will be responsible for the processes and outputs related to financial controls and reporting, and who will use clear financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leadership and Management: Inspire and guide the finance team to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Implement effective management practices to ensure team efficiency and high performance. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages continuous learning and development.

* Accounting & Reporting: Provide leadership for the Board’s finance and accounting strategy, optimize the company’s financial performance, and ensure timely production of statutory and internal financial reports. Develop management reporting and board packs, manage cash flow forecasting, and oversee FX/treasury responsibilities.

* FP&A and Commercial: Provide financial analysis and guidance on company activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Partner with key departments to drive performance and profitability, and support M&A activities and post-acquisition integration.

* Systems, Process, and People: Manage and develop the finance team, ensure good corporate governance, and develop systems and processes to support current and future business requirements.

* External Relationships: Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors and banks, source funding, and manage finance opportunities.

Key Competencies and Skills:

* Qualified ACCA or CIMA Management Accountant with strong technical knowledge of accounting.

* Working in a similar capacity for 4 years

* High-level analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Strong computer literacy, including ERP systems exposure.

* Proven ability to manage and develop a team, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
