Salary: £307 per day (1 day per week initially, progressing into a full time role later in the year)
About Us: Our client is a dynamic and innovative start-up specialising in specialist education and alternative education. We are committed to providing tailored educational solutions that cater to the unique needs of our students. As our client prepares to launch later this year, we are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Director to join our client’s team and play a crucial role in our growth and success.
The Role: We are looking for a Finance Director who can bring strategic financial leadership to our client’s organisation. Initially, this role will be part-time, requiring one day per week, with a daily rate of £307. As we establish our operations, there will be the opportunity for the right candidate to transition into a full-time position, providing comprehensive financial oversight and support to our clients expanding team.
Well suited for an individual with a background in Public Sector such as Schools, Colleges, NHS, Local Authority, Housing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and objectives.
* Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
* Manage cash flow, ensuring the financial health and stability of the organisation.
* Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to the executive team.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
* Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organisation.
* Support the transition from part-time to full-time financial operations as the company grows.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior financial role.
* Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and regulations.
* Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
* Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
* Experience in the education sector, particularly specialist or alternative education, is highly desirable.
* Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a start-up environment.
