Finance Business Partner – Housing Services

They are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to support the Housing Services directorate, partnering with teams across Neighbourhoods, Lettings and Income. This is a hands-on role combining management accounting with commercial business partnering, requiring someone who is comfortable managing month-end processes while providing financial insight and challenge to operational stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially minded and able to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all reporting deadlines are achieved
Partner with Housing Services leaders to provide meaningful financial analysis, challenge performance and support operational decision-making that delivers value for money
Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and statutory returns, while maintaining strong financial controls 
Analyse trends and identify opportunities to improve financial performance, forecasting accuracy and service delivery

Key Requirements

Qualified Accountant with experience in Finance Business Partnering and Management Accountant roles
Previous experience within the housing association sector (ideally housing services), with a strong understanding of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Strong Excel skills with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly to operational stakeholders
Confident analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build effective working relationships across the business
