Role Purpose
The Finance Business Partner (Retail) is responsible for providing high-quality financial reporting, analysis and business partnering support with specific ownership of the Digital and Amazon P&L’s and marketing cost areas. The role acts as the primary Finance contact for the Digital, Amazon and Marketing teams, supporting performance analysis, budget management and commercial decision making.
Role & Responsibilities
• Own and prepare monthly management accounts for the Digital and Amazon P&Ls, delivering accurate reporting and performance analysis.
• Maintain Amazon price book with any new products / prices
• Deliver month-end reporting, including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Produce weekly KPI reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Act as the primary Finance contact for Marketing, providing financial support and budget oversight.
• Monitor and report marketing spend against budget and forecast, providing analysis to support investment decisions.
• Ad hoc business cases for Digital and Amazon channels
• Monthly reporting of M&P market share data with insight and commentary
• Support with strategic missions relevant to Digital and Amazon channels
• Develop forecasts, financial models, and scenario analysis to support commercial and strategic decision-making. Present financial information and insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Analyse key drivers of revenue, margin, and profitability, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships across Finance, Marketing, Digital, and Amazon teams.
Skills & Experience Required
• CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Strong management accounting and financial analysis experience, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or FMCG.
• Experience managing or supporting P&Ls.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Power BI experience is desirable but not essential but should be keen to develop this capability
• Proven business partnering experience with non-finance teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
• Able to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborative team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
