Are you looking for a commercial finance role? We are seeking a finance business partner for a growing services business in Lancashire with some travel across North West offices. The Finance Business Partner will join an experienced  finance team and will play a pivotal role in supporting and partnering with various internal and external stakeholders across the organisation.  You will provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to drive informed decision-making, improve performance, and maximize profitability. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with extensive experience within business partnering and management accounting  you will be commercially focused with strong interpersonal skills to influence key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Prepare accurate and timely management reports and performance metrics for relevant stakeholders.  

Provide a consolidated view of profitability and performance of contracts and ensure costs are allocated accurately

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to provide actionable insights to business units.

Business Partnering:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams

Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial guidance and support to drive strategic decision-making.

Proactively identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the annual budgeting process by working closely with department heads and the SLT  to develop realistic financial plans aligned with business goals.

Monitor and track budget performance, providing detailed understanding of how current trading performance compares to budget.

Assist in the monthly forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business expectations.

You will be a qualified accountant with good all round management accounting skills, demonstrable commercial acumen and possess the drive and personality to influence key decision makers.
